Adoption Promise for Brothers

As your names go from the old and to the new, this is my promise, my vow to you.

I will honor and respect your lives before me and speak kindly with grace, your biological mother and past that you’ve seen. As you have endured and struggled in life, please know from my heart that I will now give you mine.

My life you can have as a place of safe harbor, a cover and shelter, it’s yours, my life forever. My everyday, I give it to you, when you need my strength because you are blue. Some days will be hard, we cannot skip, but when they are tough I’ll pull you close with my grip.

You’ll be my loves, my little companions, my strong little dudes, my little loose canons.

When you need me I’ll be there, you’ll never be alone; I’m with you my sweet little bears wherever you roam.

You will have questions about your past and I vow to be honest, for I know that its best, this to you I do promise. But if you feel different, or broken inside, just remember I am yours and in me you can both hide.

You have a brother who admires and honors you so, look beside you; he’s there, to never let you go. You grew side by side before I was there, so I promise to encourage and respect what you share. For all of your years, when big or when little, just know mommy’s here, to hold you both, for now and for forever.
